Summary Minutes of the Boston Advanced Motorcyclist Planning Meeting held at Wyberton Social Club on Monday October 2, 2006.

1.     Apologies were received from, Mike and Di, Sandy Aarron, Mike Doherty, Steve Freemantle and Graham Cook.

 2.     Presentations. Alan Mills was presented his award for passing his Observer Training by Chairman Andy Hull.

 3.     Open discussion on Observed Runs through the past summer.

 There were no adverse comments with no suggestions for how the evenings could be improved upon.

More effort was required to assemble at 6.30pm and get pairs away before 6.45pm.

A need for someone to write a Guide for Associates as part of their introductory pack when joining the Group. Would include suggestion for voluntary contributions to meet Observers expenses, Group Social Runs behaviour, the importance of practise between Observed Runs.

 4.     Observer/ Associate allocations through the winter.

 Peter Hermite agreed to undertake Assessment run and Observe new member Brian Harper.

 Dave Starkey in his new role of Examiner, has had to resiegn as an Observer. His Associate Stefan Window has passed to Nigel MacDonald.

7.     Hi Viz jacket. Orders can be placed via the website for logo printed waterproof jackets for £14.00. These jackets are at special prises as they have attracted a Group subsidy of £10.00.

8.     Recruitment. Good discussion followed with some suggestions to follow up.

At Springfieldshow , offer SfL for £65. Andy Hull to enquire if this is possible. Need to enquire about new stand material from Sandra Walsford as old material stale now.

Morton Press at Horncastle. Motor Cycle Monthly for publicity through staff joining us for Assessment Run or One to one Observed Run. Contact Editor. Peter H to provide Peter L with name and tel number to arrange.

Lincs Road Safety Partnership next Cadwell event. Can we piggy back with them? Alan Mills to research.

 9.     Observer Expenses vote was not carried by 2/3 (66%) with 100% turnout.

 Places and names  for Xmas Dinner on Friday 15 Dec to Mike and Di. Places will be restricted to 80 as it’s a joint event with cars so book soon.

Social for October. Andy Hull is standing in with vehicle plating regulations.

Observer Training will begin again in November with Keith. Date to be arranged.
